Our Devon area winter dinner for all 12 Devon constituency associations takes place on 1st November. The guest speaker is Historian and author Gareth Streeter who will be sharing fascinating insights into the world of Tudor Kings and what might have been, if history had taken a different turn.

Gareth Streeter - Historian and Author
Gareth Streeter is a Devon-based history writer. During the recent General Election, he was also the Conservative Candidate for Plymouth Sutton & Devonport.
When it comes to history, Gareth has a special focus on the Wars of the Roses and the early Tudor period. He is the creator of “Royal History Geeks”, a blog and social media experience that engages with 60,000 history lovers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
In 2023, Pen & Swords history published Gareth’s first book, “Arthur, Prince of Wales”, a biography of the forgotten older brother of Henry VIII. Gareth is currently working on his next book, which is likely to hit bookshelves in 2025.
Gareth is passionate about telling the stories of the people that helped forge the United Kingdom. He is driven by a belief that by a profound understanding of our history – as a nation and as people – we can more adequately address the challenges of the future.
